How do I find water with a thermal camera?
A thermal camera is a good way to find water that might be hiding in the walls and flooring.
Wet Walls Seen in Camera
The thermal camera shows that their is water still in the walls although not much. As the time passes the walls will continue to soak up the water. Extracting the water from the carpet is one a start. Having air movement along the walls and possibly removing the baseboards will have the drywall dry in just a few of days.
A few days may seem like a long time. The average water loss takes between 3-5 days to dry out completely.
